Fresh from the success of his latest single ‘Loner’, Yungblud is back with a new track called ‘11 Minutes’ which sees him team up with Halsey and Travis Barker.
Made with producer/songwriters Matt Schwartz (Cold War Kids, Kylie Minogue), Zakk Cervini (Good Charlotte, Mayday Parade) and Chris Greatti (Grimes, Black Veil Brides), ‘11 Minutes’ is a stirring and angsty offering which depicts a couple sabotaging their relationship before it gets a chance to properly blossom.
Yungblud and Halsey sound divine together, delivering their distinct vocals which complement each other’s perfectly. ‘11 Minutes’ comes in at the four minute mark, however, the track is so compelling that if we had our own way, we’d want it to last as long as the title itself.
I’m eleven minutes away and I have missed you all day
I’m eleven minutes away, so why aren’t you here?
Speaking about the track, Yungblud said: “The song tells the story of a perfect tragedy that reflects modern love within our society. We are so distracted and focused on what’s next, we can fail to see what is actually in front of us. We don’t realise how much we need something until it’s taken away from us.”
On working with Halsey and Travis, he added: “Working with Halsey and Travis was a fucking dream – at the end of the day we’re all rock kids. We grew up with a mutual adoration for the genre so it completely makes sense that we would come together and try to modernise it.”
Take a listen to ‘11 Minutes’ below.
Yungblud is currently in the middle of his sold out tour across Australia, Europe and the U.K. He will also be heading out on another U.K. and European tour later this year.
‘11 Minutes’ is available now.
