Ghanaians are still mourning the unfortunate death of Footballer, Raphael Dwamena who slammed to his death during a football match.
Dwamena was only 28 years old when he met his untimely death. Prior to his death, he had a history of heart problems and had been fitted with an inflatable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD).
Despite his health issues, Dwamena continued to play because football was his passion and he couldn’t let go. Had played for clubs in Austria, Switzerland, and Spain.
His unfortunate death has sent shockwaves through the football community with many of his colleagues paying tribute to his family.
Dwamena’s international career saw him make his debut in 2017 during an African Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia, where he scored a brace. In total, he scored two goals in nine appearances for the national team. A video of Dwamena falling to his death has popped up online.
