Julia Roberts is finally smiling again, two years after her half-sister‘s suicide.
“I’m better for the things that have happened to me, the good and the bad,” the 49-year-old actress revealed in a recent interview. “The older you get the more fragile you understand life to be.”

Julia’s half-sister Nancy Motes sadly died at age 37 in February 2014 after a fatal drug overdose. In a note she left behind, Nancy blamed her Oscar-winning sibling and their mother, Betty Lou Motes, for her depression.
One year after Nancy’s tragic passing, the Pretty Woman star also lost her mom to lung cancer at age 80 in February 2015.
