GRAMMY award-winning artist Jess Glynne is back with the release of her third album, JESS.

The self-titled album is Jess’ most intimate and honest body of work to date and has been six years in the making. Written between London and LA, the 15-track album oozes empowerment and self-discovery, with Jess working with producers including Knox Brown, Greg Kurstin, Malay and P2J.

JESS was born after the artist arrived home from a world tour in 2019 and decided to take the time to write new music and re-discover both who she was, and what she wanted to put out into the world. Featuring tracks such as ‘Silly Me’, ‘Enough’, ‘Friend of Mine’, and ‘Easy’, this album is Jess’ most cohesive record and is designed to make you feel something.

Speaking about the album, Jess says: “If I was to summarise this album, firstly I would say that this album is unapologetically me, which is why I had to call it JESS. It’s about moving on. I’ve finally given myself the permission to be empowered by my vulnerability, honesty, sexuality and strength, and channel it all through my superpower, my voice.

“The journey of making this album made me realise why I love music. Revisiting and listening to music from artists like Amy Winehouse, Joni Mitchell, Lauryn Hill, and Prince really inspired me to be the best version of myself in my craft, to really challenge myself to be raw and honest with my lyrics and in my writing for it to feel genuine.

“To have been given so much freedom creatively, has set no boundaries and allowed me to be me. This makes JESS the album I truly wanted it to be. Acknowledging the journey I’ve been on in my life, the ups and downs and the journey of becoming the person I am now; I think we should all be less hard on ourselves.”

JESS follows on from the release of chart-topping albums I Cry When I Laugh (2015) and Always In Between (2018). The release of JESS also coincides with the singer-songwriter receiving a BRIT Billion Award for achieving over 10 billion streams globally.
