Dominique Moceanu is an American gymnast. She was a member of the Gold Medal-winning U.S. women’s gymnastics team at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.
Her parents, Camelia (Staicu) and Dumitru Moceanu, are Romanian-born gymnasts, from Timișoara and Constanța, respectively. Her younger biological sister is acrobat and aerialist Jen Bricker-Bauer.
Dominique is married to podiatrist and Ohio State gymnast Michael Brian Canales, with whom she has two children.
Dominique was raised Romanian Orthodox.
