5 Celebrities Who Are Gamers

Despite popular misconception, celebrities are just like you. They like to go to the gym, eat at nice restaurants, and go shopping in their local towns. Best of all, some (but not all) celebrities like to play video games.

Despite popular misconception, celebrities are just like you.

They like to go to the gym, eat at nice restaurants, and go shopping in their local towns.

Best of all, some (but not all) celebrities like to play video games.

Yes, it’s true. There are tons of celebrities out there who officially class themselves as gamers. Sure, they have millions of dollars in the bank, but this doesn’t stop them from unwinding with some video games when the day comes to an end.

So, who are the biggest celebrity gamers out there? This question is answered below.

1.    Drake

Drake is one of the biggest rappers of all time. He has a string of successful solo albums, from Nothing Was the Same to Certified Lover Boy. Not to mention, he also has an estimated net worth of $250 million, which is mighty impressive.

When Drake isn’t on tour, he’s known to enjoy playing video games. Back in 2018, he even played Fortnite duos with Ninja (which broke Twitter at the time). He’s also known to enjoy casino games – one time, he won over $25 million at an online roulette table, which is one of the biggest wins ever recorded.

If you look at Drake’s Instagram stories, you’ll often see photos and videos of him playing casino games on his MacBook at home. This is because Drake is too popular to step inside a land-based casino – if he did, everyone would be harassing him for photos!

Still, whether playing in a bricks-and-mortar gambling establishment or trying one’s hand at real Cafe casino games, it’s safe to say that Drake’s hobby provides ample entertainment even without the winning involved, which is why casino classics are still as popular today as they have always been – if not more so.

2. Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg is another famous rapper who spends much of his free time playing video games. If you look on YouTube, there are hundreds of entertaining compilations of Snoop Dogg raging whilst playing video games. As chilled as Snoop is as a person, he’s prone to angry outbursts when playing video games, which are quite funny to see.

Snoop’s favorite games include:

  •         Call of Duty Warzone
  •         NFL 23
  •         NBA 2K23

Sometimes, Snoop even streams himself playing video games on Twitch under the name ‘Doggydogg20’.

On Twitter, Snoop also regularly tweets at EA Sports when the servers are down and he can’t play his favorite games.

3. Logic

A couple of years ago, Logic famously retired from making music to pursue a career in gaming and streaming on Twitch.

Since then, he’s returned to creating music but still streams video games on Twitch.

Logic enjoys playing Call of Duty, Fortnite, and other shooter-based games. If you follow his YouTube or Twitch channels, you’ll be able to see him play these games from his home studio.

When Logic retires from rapping (again), then he’ll likely do Twitch streaming as his full-time career and hobby.

4. Henry Cavill

Henry Cavill has earnt a cult-like following on Twitter ever since he let the world knows he’s a secret gamer.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Cavill even built his own Superman gaming PC which he shared with people online. This was the first time Cavill had built his own gaming PC – and he did a pretty good job at it.

Believe it or not, Cavill’s favorite game is Total War: WARHAMMER II, which you can play on PC (not on console).

When asked about gaming in a recent interview, Cavill said he prefers gaming to going out:

“At home, I get to sit playing games for ridiculous amounts of hours and escape there, because going outside has the opposite effect.”

5. Eminem

Finally, there’s the music and rap icon Eminem.

For a while, there’s been speculation that Eminem doesn’t even know how to work a smartphone or computer. However, these rumors are false, as Eminem is quite tech-savvy.

In his free time, Eminem likes to play a lot of video games and is said to be a huge fan of the Call of Duty franchise. This isn’t surprising, as some of his music has featured in the previous Call of Duty instalments. It’s also said that Eminem likes to play old-school video games from the 90s and earlier 2000s, which makes perfect sense when you consider that he’s a big fan of that period.

It’s not known which console Eminem uses, but it’s rumored that he owns a PlayStation instead of an Xbox.

Final thoughts

If you weren’t surprised to learn that Snoop Dogg is a gamer, then you’ll certainly have been surprised to learn that Eminem is. When you game in the future, you may share a server with one of these celebrities, so make sure to keep a look out for their gamer tags.
